Malcolm Alexander
After graduating in 1981 with a BSc in Computer Studies, Malcolm embarked upon a career in software development and later in IT management. In 1988 Malcolm set up as an independent IT consultant and after four years founded TriSystems in 1992 with co-director Pete Smyth.
Malcolm attributes the long term success of TriSystems, now celebrating its 15th year, to a client focused approach which has lead to the development of many long term client relationships which are based on trust and the ability to deliver. This, coupled with a commitment to attracting and retaining staff of the very highest calibre.
As managing director of TriSystems, Malcolm's responsibilities include sales and marketing and account management. Malcolm has over 25 years IT experience, with 23 years in the insurance market.
Peter Smyth
Peter has over 25 years' IT experience, the last 20 of which have been spent in insurance. He has worked in all aspects of insurance from Underwriting Systems through Runoff requirements and right through to some high profile Scheme of Arrangement projects with KPMG and PriceWaterhouseCoopers.
During the early 90's Peter was a founding Director of TriSystems, a London based IT consultancy with a strong focus on Insurance. TriSystems has a number of prestigious clients including Zurich London, Aegon Insurance, Jardine Lloyd Thompson, Limit Underwriting and AON. Peter's responsibilities within TriSystems include consultancy, account management and general operations
Jeff Ward
Jeff has 24 years IT experience within the Insurance, Banking, Media and Logistics sectors. Having consulted extensively for international operations such as Rinet, Generali, Willis and Minet, Jeff is a renowned specialist in business-to-business information exchange systems in the insurance industry. He designed and led the development of the London insurance market's most successful electronic accounting and settlement project, known as EDX, which now forms the basis of the Acord international standards for exchanging premium, claim, treaty and accounts settlement data.
A director of TriSystems, Jeff's responsibilities include new strategy development, client relationship management, consultancy and finance.
Alex Mattelaer
Alex is the Technical Director of TriSystems. He is an IT professional with a strong track record of designing and implementing leading technology solutions and business process reorganisation in the reinsurance industry, both in Europe and in the London Market.
Most recently, he was Chief Executive Officer of Alea Technology (a subsidiary of the Alea Group, a mid-sized global reinsurer), commercialising the Alea RUS system (an XML / web based global underwriting and business intelligence solution). Alex was one of the chief architects of the Alea Group's IT strategy and the RUS system from its debut in 1999, and also served as Head of IT for Alea's European operations based in Switzerland.
